Staff Groups: This course is aimed at all staff who may encounter conflict in the workplace. The course can be tailored for specific audiences.
This course is designed to support staff who deal with potentially disruptive and assaultive behaviours. It enables staff to understand what factors may increase or decrease the likelihood of anger and aggression occurring. It will consider some strategies and good practice in relation to managing potential angry and aggressive situations.
By the end of the course participants will have:
- Identified the different types of conflict
- Recognised the signs of conflict and agression
- Demonstrated skills to stay calm and manage angry behaviour
- Recognised the different stages of conflict escalation
- Demonstrated good body language
